Who isn’t announcing a release of a new smartphone these days? Count Microsoft in, as the makers of the world’s worst computer operating system introduced its new smartphone, the Kin to target what it terms a plugged-in "social generation." The phone was introduced Monday, with Microsoft promoting its ability to easily download photos from the phone to a home screen that's constantly updated with feeds from services like Facebook and Twitter. The Kin will have a heavy focus on social networking sites, makes it ideal for those who can’t go more than 10 minutes without updating their Facebook status. "Self-expression is super important to them," said Robert Bach, president of Microsoft's entertainment and devices division. "What they are, what they're doing, they want to share the journey every day. It's like constantly publishing a magazine about their life." The Kin name, in Microsoft’s mind anyhow, befits a phone "that knits together a tight community of kindred spirits whose lives are shared and who broadcast all the time." The initial King offering will feature two phones, unimaginatively named the Kin One and Kin Two, available next month in Verizon stores. Verizon will be the U.S. provider for the phone, while Vodafone will be the provider internationally. Omitted from Monday’s announcement were prices for the phones and the plans to go with them, but that didn’t stop Microsoft from having a big rollout event in Redmond, Washington, on Monday afternoon. Those who attended got a look at the square-ish Kin One and the rectangular-shaped Kin Two, stocked with additional features, like more memory, a high-resolution camera and the ability to shoot high-definition video.

iPhone OS 4.0: It has all been done before, but…
Within minutes of the iPhone OS 4.0 announcement yesterday the nay sayers were filling Twitter and various blogs with comments like “that feature has been on (insert mobile OS here) for years!” To be fair they are completely correct and it does seem odd that Apple can announce ‘new’ features that have existed in some mobile operating systems for over 5 years.
However, these negative comments mean nothing to iPhone users who use their devices every day because they consider them easier to use and to provide a richer experience than other mobile platforms, and completing the circle with a set of features that the others have makes them even happier with their iPhones.The fact is that iPhone OS 4.0 includes everything that people like me have been annoyed about for many months. Calendar access is a big one because this should open the door to third party alternatives which brings PIM up to scratch in one fell swoop. Unified email will stop the crazy tapping frenzy that is required to access multiple accounts and the addition of folders brings some much needed organisation to the simple, but annoying icon setup we have to live with at the moment. Wallpapers will be overlooked, but is needed to offer the user the personalisation they expect in any smartphone in 2010.

Do you know what happens inside our bodies in reaction to love and fear? I didn’t know, but I was intrigued when I researched it and now I’m going to share it with here.
It all started off by me reading an article today about Love and Fear, which I thought was so interesting. I had no idea about the actual chemical process that is triggered by Love and Fear.
A threatening stimuli cause stress hormones of adrenalin and Cortisol. By contrast, love, or soothing stimuli, causes the increase of the hormone Oxytocin.

We visited the tiny hamlet of Pavantslom high up in the hills behind Huehuetanango. The road was a treacherous unsealed pathway of hairpin bends above panic-inducing drop-offs without so much as a fenceline between the wheels of the Land Cruiser and a five-hundred foot roll. The hills themselves were dusty and badly eroded- a combination of geography and natural resource management. It was hot.
So what? I'm 15 and I slept with over 300 men, and I'm gonna have a baby (why not!!)
