Pantech has announced the launch of a new Google Android smartphone, the Pantech Sirius IM-A600S. The Pantech Sirius IM-A600S shares similar specifications to Google’s Nexus One and HTC’s Desire.
The Pantech Sirius IM-A600S features a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, and it is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Other specifications on the Pantech Sirius IM-A600S include a five megapixel camera, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, an integrated media player with support for DivX.
The Pantech Sirius IM-A600S come with 500MB of built in memory and a microSD card slot, plus there is also a T-DMB mobile TV receiver. It will be available in Korea initially for 900,000 Korean Won which works out at $810 which seems pretty expensive.
It looks like it may be headed to the US and Europe as Pantech are currently talking to a number of mobile phone operators about stocking their new Android handset.
